Around 2011, a few of the Hong Kong adoptees toyed with the idea of finding somebody interested in making a documentary about us. \u00a0I approached both the BBC and Channel 4 with fellow Fanling-er Lucy. \u00a0No joy.\u00a0 In the end we\u00a0decided to make our\u00a0own. \u00a0I withdrew due to other professional commitments but Lucy ploughed on, expanding the vision to include British Born Chinese interviewees that\u00a0had very similar experiences to us of being in a \u201ccultural No Man\u2019s Land\u201d.\u00a0 It\u2019s now doing the rounds of the film festivals but there\u2019s a rare chance to see a screening at the School of Oriental & African Studies (SOAS) in London.<\/i><\/p>\n
